If, for one day, the sun came up on the other side of the world, would anyone notice? My guess is most people would go, “wow, the sun is really bright today” or, “why is the sun in my eyes today, this is annoying.” Gravity shifts and other scientific reasoning aside, how many people would notice?

Thanks for this, by the way. I’ve found that ever since reading this post, whenever I notice a sunrise or sunset, I have to think about what direction I’m facing and ensure that the sun is in the correct sky.
