On December 28, 2007, we signed a contract agreeing to purchase the house we now live in. We set the closing date for the end of February. We were so excited about moving into our new home that we immediately got to work on all the moving details. We obtained boxes for packing (thanks mom and dad). We bought tape and big black markers. We researched and hired movers. We got our driver’s licenses updated. We notified our bank of our new address. We filled out a change of address form with the post office. You know, the usual things people do when they are getting ready to move. When moving day came, we were sitting on the couch waiting for the movers to arrive. With two months to plan and prepare, we were as ready as we could have been.
Apparently, the previous owners of this house were not so ready to move. Below is a photo of a group of packages that belong to the previous owners. This is the fourth or fifth set of packages we have received for them in the last month or so. We must have received about 20 different packages for them. And most of them are FedEx two-day or overnight shipments.

Have these people forgotten that they don’t live here anymore?? I can understand one or two packages slipping through the cracks, but seriously…it’s been over a month since we closed. They had more than two months notice that they were moving. What’s going on here? The packages keep coming. It’s madness! How do I make it stop??
